Our Test Range Radar Product Range

Various connector, color, protection, installation, and cable options available.

2605R
ED2605R with UGB
Doppler Radar (0.5W) with Universal Gun Bracket for mounting on the gun trunnion (straps are used to secure the bracket to the trunnion).
2605R on tripod
ED2605R on Tripod

Doppler Radar (0.5W)

2605R
ATU on tripod

Acoustic Trigger Unit mounted on a tripod. Some radars also have a built-in acoustic sensor.

2605R
Flash Detector on Tripod

Flash detector mounted on a tripod to provide an accurate trigger for large calibre guns.

2605R
PPU

Power and Processor unit to be used with ED2605R radar transceivers. Compact radars have the processor unit built-in and therefore does not require an external processor like the PPU.

2605R
VSU
The Velocity Simulator Unit (X-band) measures the power and frequency of the radar transmitter and can be used to check the radar calibration. It also provides a doppler simulation of a fired round which is used to check the radar operation.
2605R
Universal Gun Bracket

The radar unit is attached to the mounting bracket by means of rubber shock mounts.  The bracket is then secured to the trunnion of the gun (non-moving part) by means of straps.

2605R
MVAS
Test analysis and reporting software is supplied together with a military specification rugged extreme laptop.

Available Equipment Includes:

Radar Units (low and high power)
Processor Units (integrated and PC based)
Doppler, flash and acoustic triggers
Special test equipment
Cables, mountings and tripods
Power supplies

Diagram of Typical System Setup

The system allows the user to measure, record and analyze individual shots, and provides the measured results in graphical and printable formats. The unprocessed Doppler data (“raw data”) is recorded for each shot, providing the user with the ability to perform detailed post-test analysis and reporting of the data.

Muzzle Velocity Analysis Software (MVAS)

The Muzzle Velocity Analysis Software (MVAS) is a powerful tool designed for precise calculation of muzzle velocities. In addition to this core function, it offers in-depth processing and analysis of a wide range of critical ballistic parameters.

MVAS generates detailed graphical displays and comprehensive reports, providing a holistic ballistic solution for system engineers and developers. This all-encompassing software is an indispensable asset for ballistic test ranges and laboratories, streamlining testing procedures and ensuring accurate, reliable results.
